Transgender Cultural Humility: Reducing Stigma and Harm when Treating Transgender and Gender Diverse Clients

 

 

Training Description:

This training is intended for clinicians who want to provide affirming and culturally appropriate psychotherapy to transgender and gender variant clients at any point of transition.  It is designed to assist clinicians to demystify the experiences and needs of the transgender community, and destigmatize transgender identity.

 

Training Objectives:

By the conclusion of the training you will be able to use appropriate language when addressing and referring to transgender people; be educated on social and medical transition realities, and provide clinical guidance on best practices to address needs of your transgender and gender variant clients in a trauma informed manner.
